Wangari.
The newsletter about building AI infrastructure for enterprise — written by the people doing it.
Wangari is an AI infrastructure startup. We build the systems that help organisations work with data and deploy agentic AI at scale. This newsletter is the public record of what we’re learning along the way.
It is written by Ari Joury — particle physicist turned founder — thinking out loud about agentic systems, data infrastructure, and the technology reshaping how organisations work. Not polished thought leadership. Not a content strategy. Just honest writing from someone in the middle of it.
About Ari
Ari spent years as a researcher in particle physics, building models to simulate dark matter and working on problems that required both rigorous methodology and a tolerance for deep uncertainty. He eventually concluded that the world had more urgent problems to solve, and that the tools of physics — causal reasoning, probabilistic modelling, comfort with incomplete information — were badly needed in enterprise technology.
That conviction led to Wangari. The company is named after Wangari Maathai, the Kenyan environmentalist and Nobel Peace Prize laureate whose work was defined by a simple principle: do what is right, even when it is uncomfortable. That ethos shapes how we think about building AI systems — carefully, honestly, and with a clear sense of who they are supposed to serve.
What to expect
One article per week. Occasional podcast episodes.
The writing covers agentic AI, data infrastructure, and the practical and philosophical questions that come up when you are building systems that make decisions on behalf of people. It is grounded in real experience — the things that worked, the things that didn’t, and the questions we haven’t answered yet.
Recent posts are free to read. A paid subscription gives you the full archive, access to subscriber chat, and early access to research findings — for €7/month or €67/year.
